Who's saying what on the third day of the French Open at Roland Garros on Tuesday:

"I didn't want to end my career with such a horrible defeat. But then when I had my first game, I managed to be back on track again.
"Well, I still lost anyway. It's not like I won in any way, but it's better than 6-0, 6-0."
-- Alize Cornet on fearing a double bagel in her final match before retirement against Zheng Qinwen. The Frenchwoman lost 6-2, 6-1.
"I think both me and my dad wanted to get some revenge on the Meligeni family. It was worth the wait, I guess. It was many years we had to wait, but we got it today."
-- Casper Ruud after beating Felipe Meligeni Alves in the first round. Meligeni Alves' uncle Fernando beat Ruud's father Christian in the Norwegian's only ATP final at the 1995 Swedish Open.
"I had my undershirt thermal layering on. I was ready for a battle in the cold and rain."
-- Australia's Alex de Minaur on playing in the chill of Paris.
"Safe to say that we don't take it too hard if either of us don't watch each other play because we obviously know that we're getting ready, we've got to recover, got to do stuff to focus on yourself."
